We’ve all heard the saying, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Many of us never get the opportunity to fulfill this goal, but Aaron Pequignot is living his dream. Pegs (as his friends call him) has always been drawn to vehicles of all kinds, shapes and sizes. While strolling through a friend’s junk yard, looking at the seemingly never-ending sea of abandoned old vehicles, he would often find himself wondering about the stories behind these cars and trucks. When were they brought here and why? Who owned them? Where had these vehicles been? What had they seen and heard? What if these “wheels” could talk?

In addition to restoring vehicles, Pegs is also an artist, shaping metal and wood to create one of a kind sculptures, tables and unique household items. If you’ve ever seen a coat rack made of antique wrenches, chances are you might have seen a “Pegs” original. When Aaron combines his love of vehicles with his artistic eye, the end result is pretty amazing. He restores cars for himself, or occasionally paints one for a friend. Over the years, he’s learned as much as he could, always appreciative of knowledge and guidance from others who share his passion.

Aaron’s painted everything from tractors to classic cars to pickups. He always puts his heart into every project he’s fortunate enough to spend time on. He recently purchased a couple of old Brockway trucks and can’t wait to bring them back to life.
